Longwy - Maurice Paul Chevalier - Dish - Earthenware

Very beautiful decorative plate from the Longwy manufactory, Palissy model, made in cloisonné enamel according to a design created by Maurice Paul Chevalier, designer at Longwy in the mid-20th century.

This elegant piece features a superb deep black background enhanced by polychrome enamels of stylized flowers and a rich ornamental frieze in vivid colors (blue, green, red, gold...).

The cloisonné outlines and the quality of the enamels offer remarkable relief and brilliance, characteristic of Longwy productions around 1950.
