Phillips & Pearce in London was a luxury porcelain shop and active between 1859 and 1889, so the plate dates exactly from this period and the pattern number 647 is relatively low.
Based on the blind stamp, it was manufactured by William Brownsfield from Cobridge, Staffordshire, who used this stamp from 1871 to 1890.
The family crest is of the noble family von Hirsch auf Gereuth from Bavaria.
This plate (diameter 23 cm) was manufactured exclusively for this family as part of a display service.
The plate is in pristine condition with not a single blemish and is executed in the so-called raised gilding technique, combined with a superb mint-green (celadon) glaze.

Afgaande op het blindstempel is het vervaardigd door William Brownsfield uit Cobridge, Staffordshire die dit stempel gebruikte van 1871 tot 1890.
Het familiewapen is van de adellijke familie von Hirsch auf Gereuth uit Beieren. 
Dit bord (diamanteter van 23cm) is exclusief voor deze familie speciaal vervaardigd als onderdeel van een pronkservies.
Het bord is gaaf zonder een enkele beschadiging en is uitgevoerd in de zg. goud op reliëf techniek
(raised gilding), gecombineerd met een subliem aangebrachte mintgroene (celadon) glazuurlaag.
