Rare first edition of the richly illustrated song album Old England – English Songs of Long Ago. The traditional English folk songs were harmonized by Alex de Jong and provided with characteristic color illustrations by the well-known Dutch illustrator Rie Cramer.
This copy is bound in the original cardboard binding with gold embossing and round mounted color illustrations on the front and back covers. The original pink ribbon closure is still present. Notably, the original publisher’s jacket (cloth jacket/portfolio) has also been preserved, though it shows clear signs of wear and aging.
