A solitary figure stands before a luminous space, suspended between what is left behind and what is yet to be known. The material abstraction and the essential presence of the figure transform the painting into a reflection on courage, freedom, and the possibilities that every decision can open.

Paolo Contin has had a long artistic career. He trained in the world of design and since 1980 has worked in fashion and art. Since 1999 he began to exhibit his works; in 2002 his first solo show in Padua, followed by many exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including Copenhagen, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires and Sydney.
