AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

About this painting : Mixed Emotions is 80 cm x 100 cm (+ border for stretching) , acrylic paint on high-quality canvas, 2026, this is a unique, hand painted artwork.

This painting is an exploration of energy in its rawest, most instinctive form. Layers of color collide and disperse across the surface, creating a visual rhythm that resists stillness. The gestures are immediate and physical—drips, splashes, and sweeping lines that record movement as much as intention.

Rather than depicting a fixed subject, the work invites the viewer into a field of shifting sensations. Bright, saturated hues—neon yellows, electric blues, and bursts of crimson—interact in a way that feels both chaotic and deliberate, suggesting moments of tension, release, and transformation. Each mark exists as both an independent action and part of a larger, interconnected system.

The painting draws from the language of Abstract Expressionism, where the act of painting becomes a form of direct expression. Like the work of Jackson Pollock, the surface becomes a record of time, gesture, and presence. However, this piece embraces a contemporary palette and sensibility, leaning into heightened color contrasts and layered transparency to create depth and luminosity.

At its core, the work is about embracing unpredictability—allowing intuition to guide structure, and accident to become composition. It reflects the complexity of internal and external worlds: fragmented, overlapping, and constantly in motion. The viewer is not asked to interpret a single meaning, but to experience the painting as a dynamic environment—one that shifts with every glance.

The artwork will be shipped as a rolled, unstretched canvas for safe delivery. Packaged in tube box or cardboard box and wrapped properly.
Rolled works can be easily stretched (for canvas works, i.e. placed onto wooden stretcher bars) and/or framed by a local framer. Minor waves or creases may be visible upon arrival, which is completely normal for rolled canvas. These will disappear once the canvas is stretched or framed by a professional framer.
All my shipments will be made through DHL EXPRESS or a similar company , always trying to guarantee the safety, care and efficient delivery of the work. However, delays that may occur in the case of goods are beyond my control; I will always be attentive to tracking the shipment and any incident that may arise, being at the customer's disposal to provide appropriate assistance and support.
Thank you.

Seller's Story

I was raised in a family where art was a way of life—my father, an architect, and my mother, a painter, deeply shaped my creative path. I choose to present my work under a pseudonym. My real name, as well as my website and social media details, will be provided to the collector upon purchase of the artwork. I graduated from the University of Arts in Bucharest, specializing in Painting under the guidance of Ion Sălișteanu, and later continued my studies at UQAM in Montreal, Canada. My work has since been exhibited internationally, from New York to the Venice Biennale, from Rome to Bucharest. My paintings reflect my life experiences and personal journey. Each artwork tells a story and invites the viewer to connect on an emotional level. I hope my art inspires reflection and a sense of connection. My paintings found a home in collections all over the world. please Note that I don’t have a team—I do everything myself, from painting and photographing my work to building my website, handling social media, sourcing materials, and preparing for exhibitions where I set up and pack everything on my own. I’m not saying this as a complaint, just to share the reality behind my work. I keep my prices as accessible as I can because it matters to me that people can live with my art, even if that means smaller margins.I keep my prices as accessible as I can because it matters to me that people can live with my art, while still respecting the value of the work and what it takes to create it.
