Daum - Centrepiece - Crystal

Hand-blown crystal coupe and hot-worked decoration featuring green and red glitter inclusions from the prestigious French manufacturer Daum.

The coupe is signed under the base 'Daum' (engraved with a point).
This 'Daum' signature without the Lorraine Cross nor 'France' corresponds to certain productions from the 1980s-1990s.

Regarding the Decor:

* turquoise/blue-green background,
* broad white swirls,
* inclusions of small red-brown specks,
* a freely shaped design very typical of French 1980s-1990s aesthetics.

The decoration is obtained by layering colored powders and white crystal threads stretched into the mass.

This original coupe can function equally as a centerpiece or a large catch-all. I highly recommend displaying it near a light source to enhance its appearance! Indeed, the photos are not retouched but were taken under strong lighting (near a French window on a bright sunny day). If your piece is intended for a fairly dark interior or to be displayed away from a window, I suggest looking at the last four photos to gauge the exact shade of the piece in a classic interior.

The coupe is in overall good condition! No cracks, chips, or breaks! However it does have several micro-scratches visible in the photos (notably the first photos where the piece is exposed to sunlight).
