Description from the seller

A handsome full-size (4/4) antique violin built on the timeless Stradivari pattern, carrying the traditional interior label Antonius Stradivarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1721 — the classic homage marking of quality European workshop instruments from this era.

The violin is distinguished by an attractive one-piece maple back — a feature always prized for its visual unity and increasingly uncommon — complemented by maple ribs and scroll and a finely grained spruce top. The whole is dressed in a warm, golden-amber varnish that has aged into a rich, glowing patina. The hand-cut f-holes, crisp corners, and inlaid purfling speak to the careful craftsmanship of a period atelier.

Structurally clean and honest: the instrument shows no cracks, only light surface scratches entirely in keeping with its age and gentle use — the marks of an instrument that has been cared for across a century. It is fitted with an ebony fingerboard, pegs, and tailpiece, and remains in playable condition (offered untested, as found, awaiting its next musician).

A genuine antique with real charm, this violin is an inviting choice for the player seeking a vintage voice with character, the collector of early 20th-century European violins, or anyone drawn to the romance of a well-made old instrument.
