Capricho is an original work that explores the dialogue between the human figure and the landscape through a painting built from color and light. The composition places the figure with their back to the viewer, facing the horizon of the sea, creating a scene of stillness where contemplation becomes the axis of the image. The brushwork remains visible across the entire surface, alternating areas of greater synthesis with others of more open gesturality. R. Serra is a visual artist based in Spain whose practice centers on pictorial inquiry and the mechanisms of image construction. Her training in Plastic Arts, with a specialty in painting, together with later studies in graphic design, shape a language that places painting in dialogue with the aesthetics and visual logics of digital culture. Her work investigates memory as a process of editing and reconstruction, where lived and imagined memories converge to generate images that question the stability of representation. Through painting, she explores the tensions between presence and absence, experience and fiction, proposing scenes suspended between the intimate and the universal.

During the last decade she has developed an exhibition trajectory that includes group shows in national and international galleries, consolidating her presence in the context of contemporary art.
