Biography

Vincent Huot is a contemporary French painter. His geometric abstraction establishes an intimate dialogue between shapes and colors, transparencies and volumes. In his pictorial universe, color frees itself from the subject to become the subject itself. He works exclusively in acrylic, applying three very thin layers of solid, vibrant colors, with no texture effects or brushstrokes. The colors are not simply juxtaposed; the overall appearance is uniform and smooth. His artistic approach aims to create positive energy where calm and serenity emanate from colored spaces, arranged with simplicity, order and rigor, in a harmony that combines strength and lightness.
