This is an antique German wax model (Wachsmodell) for Springerle cookies or marzipan, with 20 different motifs.

The mold contains detailed depictions of animals, plants, objects and figures in traditional dress.

On the side is etched the text "1740 N. 9", referring to the original design year.

Although it looks like woodcarving, it is made of beeswax.

Originating from Austria, circa 1970.

21 x 15 cm, 1.5 cm thick.

Dit is een antieke Duitse wasvorm (Wachsmodell) voor Springerle koekjes of marsepein, met 20 verschillende motieven.
De vorm bevat gedetailleerde afbeeldingen van dieren, planten, voorwerpen en figuren in klederdracht.
Op de zijkant is de tekst "1740 N. 9" ingekerfd, wat verwijst naar het oorspronkelijke ontwerpjaar.
Hoewel het eruitziet als houtsnijwerk is het gemaakt van bijenwas.
Afkomstig uit Oostenrijk, ca 1970.
