Murano - Vase - Glass - H. 24cm

This elegant art glass vase captivates with its harmonious drop form and the impressive Sommerso technique, in which a strong magenta glass core is surrounded by a luminous turquoise-blue layer and clear crystal glass. Through the multi-layer processing, fascinating depth effects and an extraordinary play of colors emerge, which constantly changes depending on the incidence of light. The softly curved contours and the precisely worked, open mouth give the vase a particularly sculptural aura and make it a decorative design object.

The design corresponds to high-quality Sommerso works from the second half of the 20th century. A partially preserved original label is present, but it can no longer be read clearly and therefore does not allow a secure attribution to a manufacturer. Due to the workmanship, the glass quality, and the color composition, a classification into the tradition of high-quality Italian Sommerso glass is likely, however a definite attribution to a specific glassmaker is not possible. Comparable vases are regularly offered as Murano-Sommerso works, but without a complete label or signature no secure attribution is possible.

The vase impresses with its expressive color scheme, its substantial construction and its timeless elegance. It is both an attractive collector's item and an exceptional eye-catcher for modern and classical interiors.

The vase has no chips or cracks.
