On offer is a vintage pair of Val St Lambert ‘IMPERIAL’ clear crystal double-arm candelabras created by Belgian designer René Delvenne in the 1950s. The candleholders are in an Art Déco style, but with a modernist twist. Each candelabrum features two elegant, upward-curving U-shaped crystal arms branching out from a central, fan-shaped stylized seashell or palmette designed with deep, crisp, molded vertical ridges. The candle sockets (nozzles) at the ends of the arms feature flared, multi-faceted rims designed to catch and refract light. The candleholders rest on a thick, heavy hexagonal base with beveled edges, providing stability and a solid footprint. The transparent crystal displays sharp cuts, smooth polished surfaces, and high refractive brilliance. On the underside of the base there is an acid-etched script signature reading ‘Val St Lambert’
CONDITION: The pieces are in excellent condition with very few minor signs of age and wear.
DIMENSIONS: Each candelabrum measures 12 cm high, 20 cm wide, and 8 cm deep.
