A clear example of Floral Still Life inspired by Baroque-Flemish/Neoclassical, characterized by a rich ovoid vase with an exuberant bouquet of roses, curled tulips, anemones and field flowers on a marble or wooden base.
The composition adheres to the traditional canons of European decorative still life in a classical-decorative key. The cascade arrangement of the flowers, the choice of saturated colors (orange-pink, yellow and warm tones) in strong contrast with a dark background or leaning toward ocher/blue-green are elements derived from XVIIth- and XVIIIth-century painting.
