David Klein – Israel / Fly TWA – Trans World Airlines – around 1960

Iconic image of the golden age of air travel, created by David Klein (1918–2005) for Trans World Airlines. Klein shaped the visual identity of TWA destinations in the 1950s–60s — a work now part of the MoMA collection in New York.

For Israel, he builds the composition around a stylized menorah inspired by the Knesset’s, dominating a mosaic of Jerusalem in blues, greens, and golds. One of the most sought-after titles of the TWA series.
