Object description
Impressive and richly appointed French three-light wall lamp in Louis XV Revival style, made from heavy cast brass and featuring a beautifully modeled putto (cherub) as central decorative element. The high-quality casting, refined rocaille ornamentation, and gracefully shaped light arms give this wall lamp an especially elegant and luxurious appearance.
The three curved light arms are each equipped with a richly crafted cylindrical crystal shade, built from cut octagons, long prism crystal pendants, and teardrop crystals. These provide splendid light refraction and a atmospheric lighting effect when the lamp is turned on.
The cast brass has over the years developed a beautiful natural patina that emphasizes the lamp’s authentic character. The combination of the decorative putto, the classic French form, and the sparkling crystals makes this wall lamp an impressive object that fits excellently in both classical and eclectic interiors.
The wall lamp is fitted with renewed fittings and electrical wiring and is in working condition. Given the age, for safety reasons it is advised to have the electrical installation checked by a professional before prolonged use.
