Heavy pressed crystal vase with a solid 925 sterling silver mount – Germany/Central Europe, about 1950-60

Elegant and high-quality pressed crystal vase from the first half of the 20th century with a broad 925 sterling silver mount.

The vase impresses with its expressive form featuring a square foot, deeply formed star-cut on the base, faceted diamond decoration, and sweeping vertical ribs. The approximately 1.2 cmwide solid silver ring is stamped with a crescent moon, master mark, 925, STERLING, and an additional workshop mark.

The heavy crystal glass (weight 1,108 g) and the high-quality silver setting underline the quality of this decorative vase. The combination of pressed crystal and sterling silver was typical of upscale glassware of the first half of the 20th century.

Condition:
