Cyril Keller - New Year

My name is Cyril Keller. I was born on September 12, 1978 in Saarland.

My artistic journey began in the early 1990s when I discovered graffiti art for myself. From about 1993 to the end of the 1990s graffiti was my great passion. During this time my enthusiasm for colors, shapes and creative expression developed – the foundation of my painting today.

In 2015 I found my path to abstract art. It opened up for me a completely new creative world that continues to excite me to this day. Since then I have devoted myself with great passion to abstract painting and continuously experiment with new techniques, color compositions and image structures.

I am particularly fascinated by the unique shapes and structures that arise through the squeegee technique. Every painting is a new journey of discovery for me, where intuition, creativity and willingness to experiment come together. As a self-taught artist I love constantly developing and finding new ways to bring emotions and dynamism onto the canvas.

Today I deliberately take more time for my art than ever before and look to the future with great enthusiasm. My goal is to create works that touch people, stimulate their imagination and give them lasting joy.

The most beautiful thing about abstract art, to me, is its openness. Every viewer discovers something of their own, brings their personal thoughts, feelings and experiences into a picture and lets it affect them in a completely individual way. It is precisely this connection between artwork and viewer that makes abstract painting so special to me.
