Description from the seller

Macallan Maker's Edition – The 1824 Collection (42.8% ABV)

The Macallan Maker's Edition Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is an exclusive rarity from the limited-edition "The 1824 Collection." Created by Master Blender Bob Dalgarno, this special bottling combines a hand-selected array of the distillery's most interesting sherry and bourbon oak casks. Released between 2011 and 2013 in a modern, striking red box, the edition was originally reserved exclusively for the travel retail market (duty-free). The single malt was bottled at 42.8% ABV, reflecting the Master Blender's personal preferred drinking strength.

Sensory Characteristics and Flavor Profile

The whisky's deep-rooted character is immediately evident in its appearance, glowing with a light amber to golden hue in the glass.

Aroma (Nose): The nose is dominated by a distinct, fresh fruitiness. This is complemented by a fine balance between the sweetness of creamy toffee and the subtle, slightly sharp note of piquant ginger.

Taste (Palate): On the palate, the whisky is generous, robust, and multi-layered. Complex notes of ripe fruit blend harmoniously with delicate sweetness and an invigorating, warming spice.

Finish: The long-lasting, elegant finish carries the rich fruitiness and subtle spice notes through to a harmonious, slightly dry conclusion.

Due to its limited production run and exclusivity, this bottling is now a sought-after rarity for connoisseurs and collectors alike.
