AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Elegant Italian art porcelain table lamp with playing putti – hand-painted – ca. 1960 – Made in Italy

Elegant and refined Italian art porcelain table lamp, produced in the tradition of the famous Capodimonte porcelain. This atmospheric lamp features two playing putti (cherubs) perched on a tree with hand-painted fruits and leaves. The richly worked openwork rocaille foot and the finely modeled details testify to high-quality Italian craftsmanship.

The lamp is hand-marked on the bottom with "DO Maro – Made in Italy" and is likely dating from the 1950s-1960s.

The sculpture group is exceptionally delicate, with beautiful anatomical details, expressive faces, an ornate ladder, and carefully hand-painted fruits and leaves. Thanks to the rewiring, the lamp is also fully ready for use.

The original fabric lampshade shows only light age spots, appropriate to its age and not detracting from the appearance.
