Description from the seller
ROLEX FULL SET GMT MASTER 6542 consisting of:
N.B. The GMT Master 6542 watch is a timepiece that in good condition can exceed €100,000, and this full set can increase its value by up to €10,000.
1 - Certificate of Chronometer code: RP. 1201. XI 59 - 2M
2 - 4-page GMT-MASTER booklet from November 1958, contemporaneous until 1961, year of release of the new model 1575 code: RC. 232. XI 58. 5000
3 - Plastic watch case holder contemporaneous for the period
4 - Red tag without hologram, round shape, contemporaneous for the period
5 - Green tag rectangular with protruding crown, contemporaneous for the period
6 - Green leather pyramid-shaped box - NO CODE - very rare, one of the first produced by Rolex toward the late 1950s/early 1960s with white satin lining on the inside and green felt on the bottom. The hinges
The box is contemporaneous with all watches from the late 1950s to the late 1960s, surely for all models with four-digit references, knowing that Rolex began adding codes to the boxes only in 1970/71.
It is a box about 66 years old, difficult to find in good condition.
The hinges are without snap and work perfectly, even after 66 years of life.
In short, the box is beautiful and in good condition for use, as evidenced by the photos that are an integral part of the description.
7 - The watch cushion has been newly made to closely resemble the original.
Shipping will be tracked and insured.
