Chris Soer (1882–1961) - Stadsgezicht

Beautiful work by Chris Soer, a painter originally from The Hague. He trained at the Hague Academy and lived and worked mainly in The Hague and the surrounding area. Soer painted and drew initially in a naturalistic manner. From his hand came landscapes, beach and city views, and still lifes. Later, increasingly in an impressionist style, more in the manner of followers of the Hague School.
