Good overall condition, scattered wear marks, covers show rubbing marks in places, small nicks, minor tears, stains, some more pronounced on the front and back boards, particularly in certain volumes (I, II, IV and XIV), small leather cracks at the tail of Volume XVI, and the headcaps of Volumes IX and XVIII; pages are foxed, some light tears scattered, the first few pages of Volume II show nicks, Volume II also has a slight tear at the inner hinge near the first few pages, otherwise the pages are in good condition for the rest of the set. It is possible, given the number of volumes, that we have not identified some defects, and they may therefore not be listed despite our inspection. A fine set, complete (See photos).
