Artist Stefan Damman, born in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) 1969. Studied both graphic design. In Amsterdam and attended the art academy in Zwolle. Besides being an art teacher, he is an independent artist in 2D and 3D.

The work ‘Happily Bleeding’ stems from the fascination with fragments of image and text in daily life. Through stories on the street or images that come in via various media.

Part of it comes through sound and song lyrics. Cut up like a collage, the texts are presented in different contexts and the work gains a new life.

The barking dog in the image is the symbol of the artist. It barks and is cuddly at the same time. It is the contradiction in creation..
