Louis Vuitton — Griet Handbag in Ebene Damier Canvas — Marc Jacobs Era (Circa 2008)

Sublime and rare handbag model "Griet" in coated Ebene Damier canvas and smooth chocolate brown calfskin leather. Originally designed under Marc Jacobs’ artistic direction in a limited edition for the Autumn/Winter 2007 runway (Mirage line), the Griet model was briefly produced in the classic Ebene Damier canvas in 2008 over a very short production period. It is today a vintage piece that is particularly sought-after and rare on the market.

Features and design:

Exterior: Structured trapezoidal silhouette with soft side gussets adorned with decorative brass studs engraved with the house logo.

Closure: Central flap secured by a prominent shiny brass push lock "S-Lock," a signature piece directly inspired by the locks of Louis Vuitton’s historic travel trunks.

Carried: Double rigid leather handle allowing hand carry or under the arm.

Interior: Fully lined in vermilion red Alcantara suede. The storage space is divided into several distinct compartments, separated by a large central zippered pocket, completed by slip pockets.
