Touareg jewelry - Niger

.A fine collection of different jewelry pieces belonging to the Touareg-community of Niger, All pieces are authentic and were collected in the city of Agadez in the late 1990,s.
The largest object is an amulet-holder worn around the neck and with sometimes a piece of the Koran as a protective charm. Dim. 55 x 75 mm. Made of brass and metal. Nice decorations are added on this piece.
The pair of heavy earrings are finely decorated at the finals; very distinctive Touareg jewelry. See also the book "Africa Adorned" by Angela Fisher, page 202 and 213.
The ring in this collection has lined decorations and is topped with a red carneole. 40 mm high.
Finally two thin pendants are presented, decorated with fine lines. 34 and 35 mm high.
