Hand-painted Émaux de Longwy decorative plate, cloisonné enamel, central stylised flower motif, turquoise background with a cobalt blue border and gilded accents, diameter 23 cm, height 1.6 cm, decor D5685 – F3401, stamped France and Décoré à la Main, dating ca. 1955–1970, in very good condition with minor age-appropriate wear.

Émaux de Longwy – Hand-painted decorative plate – Decor D5685 – Form F3401 – France, ca. 1955-1970
Beautiful hand-painted decorative plate from the renowned French manufacturer Émaux de Longwy, executed in the characteristic cloisonné enamel technique. The plate is richly decorated with a colorful floral ornament on a clear turquoise ground, framed by a deep cobalt-blue rim with gilded accents. The central medallion with a stylized floral motif gives the whole piece an elegant and refined appearance.
The reverse bears the original green stamp “Décoré à la Main – Émaux de Longwy – France,” as well as the form number F3401 and decor number D5685. In addition, the plate is provided with the handwritten inscription “Rehaussé AK,” referring to the decorative finition by an experienced Longwy workshop member, presumably Albert Kirchletter.
This authentic Longwy plate is a fine example of post-war production by the famous French manufactory and constitutes a valuable addition to any collection of French art ceramics or Art Deco- and mid-century decorative arts.
