Performance at the City Theatre in Leipzig. - Appearance of the extraordinarily successful London revue and burlesque dancer Lydia Eliza Thompson (1838-1908) as part of a three-year European tour. The scandal-hainted beauty became famous for a parodied sexual act on stage, aimed at the Spanish dancer Perea Nina. The "Queen of Burlesque" later continued her career in the USA and established there a theater genre that has since revived. - Lydia Thomson appeared during the intervals of the play "Der Actienbudiker."
