Semiotically, the scene plays on the contrast between the prosaic and the refined: the banal fuel stop elevated by the woman’s elegance and the coupe’s lines, all bathed in bright Méridional light. The mauve of the dress adds a rare, delicate note within a range of saturated blues and chalk whites. A smooth texture, bold shadows, solar precisionism.

Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, aka Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d’Art et de Design (ESAD) in Orléans. He is an art director in publishing and web. Instagram @leyack45. He is exhibited in a network of about forty galleries in France, Germany, Belgium, the United States.
