The Go-Between - Hand signed is a 2022 limited edition giclée on canvas by LeYack, 40 x 40 cm, hand-signed, numbered out of 20, from France, delivered ready to frame with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
On a calanque path lined with garrigue, a brunette woman with a bun, in a pale green-blue shirt-dress, walks barefoot, her espadrilles in hand, her gaze lowered, in peaceful reverie. Behind her, a sky-blue Peugeot 404 convertible, top down and gleaming chrome, is parked at the edge of the path; beyond, the Mediterranean unfurls its turquoise and deep blue hues to a distant cape. Semiotically, the scene captures the sweetness of a summer pause — the nonchalant walk, the shoes removed, the convertible abandoned for a stroll. The tender green of the dress and the sky-blue of the car harmonize with the blues of the sea in a fresh, sunlit palette. The execution, between realism and illustration, renders the garrigue and the rocks in vivid strokes; the bright midsummer light sculpting bluish shadows on the pale sand.
