Description from the seller
Antique sculpture "Servitù" in carved gilded wood – Early 20th century
Majestic sculpture depicting a servant ("servitù") standing upright, created in the early 1900s in carved wood gilded with gold leaf.
The figure, sculpted with care in the details of the face, clothing and posture, is shown in the act of offering or holding, in line with the typical decorative iconography of support figures.
The warm and luminous gilding, partly patinated by time, gives the work great visual presence, perfect for classical settings, grand entrances, or theatrical and museum contexts.
