Le Yack - Tender Is the Night - Hand signed

The beating heart of the corpus, finally found. On a terrace of white concrete overlooking a cove, a convertible in deep garnet red, lacquered and vibrant, with a raised hood and gleaming chrome. Leaning against the wing, a brunette in a white one-piece swimsuit, hair in a high bun and ivory sunglasses, one leg crossed in front of the other: she gazes toward the horizon, sovereign. Below, a cobalt and turquoise sea, with a strong saturation, where some bathers dive and float, a pink buoy; to the right, the white stairs and the cubist volumes of a Mediterranean villa rise along the cliff. Semiotically, the axis is classic and perfectly held: the red of the bodywork against the blue of the marine abyss, the white of the swimsuit and the stone as respiration. The woman stands at the edge — of the cliff, of departure, of desire. Subtle mass, full midday light, stark shadows.

Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD) in Orléans. He is an artistic director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45. He is exhibited in a network of around forty galleries in France, Germany, Belgium, the United States.
