Intuition and Abstraction
Manuela Decker (born 1973) is a contemporary German painter who lives and works in Osnabrück. Self-taught, she has developed an unconventional, deeply emotional visual language that moves freely beyond academic constraints. Under the studio name Gallery M, she presents her works to an international audience.

Artistic profile & style
Decker’s works are associated with abstract expressionism and modern informal art. At the center of her creative process is the act of letting go. Her large-format acrylic paintings often arise impulsively and intuitively—guided by moments, moods, and the dynamics of color itself.

Technique:
She mainly works with acrylic paints, chalks, and texturing mixed techniques on canvas. The application of color occurs in layers, sometimes boldly thickly applied, sometimes softly brushed or glazes. This gives her paintings a tactile depth. Contrasts: a recurring motif is the play with extreme opposites. In series such as “Better in black,” she contrasts deep, dark areas with sudden, luminous color explosions or minimalist lines. The imperfect and raw are deliberately staged as aesthetic elements.

Philosophy and intention:
For Manuela Decker, art is an outlet for the inexpressible. She does not want to force a fixed interpretation on the viewer but to offer space for one’s own associations and feelings. Her art seeks dialogue with the subconscious.
This integrative, liberating approach she also passes on as a creativity coach. Here she supports people in overcoming blockages through intuitive painting and discovering their own inner imagery.
