Description from the seller
Our planet is not a bowling ball: the work addresses the issue of climate change, delivering a clear message: "Earth is not a toy ball." This contemporary sculpture created by the artist duo Francioni Mastromarino depicts a bowling ball with the continents raised, transformed into a globe. A symbolic interpretation that blends two images: the Earth with the three characteristic holes of a bowling ball.
The authors denounce the scornful behavior towards climate agreements, highlighting the risk of treating climate change and the safeguarding of our only planet with superficiality as if it were a game. A genuine autograph of the authors.
The materials used reflect a concrete commitment to the environment. Eco-sustainable mortars, inspired by bioarchitecture, are mixed with rice husk, a by-product of the milling industry that Francioni Mastromarino have long used in their works, and which, when mixed with the mortars, guarantees the durability of the piece. This choice not only reduces environmental impact but also integrates the message of the work: respect for the planet must start from the smallest details.
A sculpture with a strong visual and ethical impact, perfect for those who want a work of art that makes us reflect on the future of our world.
The sculpture is the result of the synergy of two artists, Francioni and Mastromarino, a couple of art and love who have been working together for about 20 years in their studio in Pietrasanta, Tuscany.
The chosen materials minimize the pollutant percentage, as does the use of cardboard scraps as filling for shipping. The sculpture is carefully packaged in a very sturdy box and shipped via express courier. All our collectors are highly satisfied with the sturdiness of our packaging.
With our sculptures we are represented in private collections in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, France, Portugal, Denmark, Austria, USA, Switzerland, Romania, the United Kingdom, Poland, Finland, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, United Arab Emirates and Italy.
For shipments outside the European Union, the sculpture will be accompanied by a certificate of free export for contemporary artworks, which will be stamped and endorsed by the Export Office of the Florence Superintendence of Fine Arts, part of the Ministry of Culture.
Regarding shipments to Germany, we are registered with the German LUCID registry to ensure proper disposal of packaging. We commit to complying with environmental regulations and to contributing to reducing environmental impact.
Whether the sculpture is shipped outside the European Union or to Germany, we ensure that all necessary documents are provided and that the required procedures are followed to guarantee a safe and legal delivery.
