Description from the seller
Casa Sublime
Casa Sublime offers a poetic reflection on the idea of home as a space of memory, nature, and contemplation. Through a composition of superimposed planes, fragments of landscape, lush vegetation, essential architecture, and small suspended houses, the work builds an imaginary territory where everyday life is transformed into a symbol. The white volume floating in the foreground acts as a silent refuge against an open horizon, while the balance between geometry and organic elements creates a sense of calm and depth. The richness of textures, transparencies, and chromatic layers gives the composition a visual narrative that invites a thoughtful observation, placing the work between contemporary abstraction and the emotional landscape.
About R.Robin
Robinson Rodríguez García is a visual artist, theatre designer, and drawing professor, born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and based in Spain. He graduated in 2003 from the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts and develops an artistic practice focused on painting and contemporary language, where abstraction, geometry, and a strong symbolic charge converge. Between 2003 and 2005 he taught drawing workshops at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech School of Art Instructors, and between 2006 and 2009 he worked as a costume and set designer for the Provincial Council of the Performing Arts of Santa Clara, an experience that decisively influenced his spatial and formal conception within the visual arts.
His work has been presented in several solo exhibitions in Cuba, with notable shows at the Provincial Gallery of Art and in institutional spaces of Santa Clara. He has also participated in important group exhibitions and international fairs, including Art Basel Miami, collective exhibitions in France, and contemporary art events in the Americas and Europe. In 2017 he participated in art fairs in Mexico. His career is complemented by studies and international workshops related to scenographic design and visual creation, consolidating a multidisciplinary artistic profile that dialogues between painting, space, and contemporary symbolic experience.
