Pair of rosewood bookends featuring elaborately sculpted busts of fauns, finely carved with detailed work.
The wood is in perfect condition; by browsing the photos included in the description, the new owner will discover the fine craftsmanship of art cabinetry.
The books and bases are finished with a glossier varnish, with copper and brass fittings showing a very beautiful patina of age.
The glossy varnish shows minimal signs of wear such as tiny scratches and old glue marks, with no impact on the perfect stability and the overall very attractive appearance — see photos.
Bust dimensions: 19 cm × 17 cm × 10 cm; weights 688 g and 689 g.
