A magnificent and complete vintage Japanese porcelain tableware set by the renowned maker Tachikichi (橘吉), established in Kyoto. This exquisite set features a large hexagonal serving bowl (Mori-hachi) with a dynamic grape vine design (Budo-e) and a set of five matching lidded bowls adorned with a delicate blue-and-white peony scroll motif (Some-botan).
Each piece is meticulously crafted with high-quality cobalt blue underglaze on a pristine white porcelain body, bearing the authentic "Tachikichi" maker's mark on the base. The set comes complete with its original wooden storage boxes (Tomobako) with calligraphy inscriptions and original paper leaflets/store tags, indicating its provenance.
An exceptional addition for collectors of fine Japanese ceramics or a stunning centerpiece for elegant dining occasions.
