A compulsive and spontaneous creator, Bruno Cantais lives in Lyon. He explores several techniques, ranging from abstract expressionism in the vein of Rauschenberg or De Kooning, to matter projections à la Georges Mathieu, to Pop Art collage or the expressionism of Karel Appel, straddling the line between abstract gesture and figurative representation. Yet his signature remains that physical painting, the material worked with the body, a testament to the artist's intimate monologue.
