Description from the seller
Visible part: 14 x 9 cm
Panel: approx. 14.5 x 9.5 cm
Frame: 25.5 x 20.5 x 0.5 cm
Cute little cat in a striking decorative pink frame, painted with a fluid touch by the Dutch-Danish artist Borgen Lindhardt.
She graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts Maastricht (1996). She uses Borgen Lindhardt as her signature name and is known for her “kimono-series,” inspired by the work of G.H. Breitner. She creates oil paintings in which old masters, combined with personal elements (cat, painting supplies, and fantasy figures), form a new spectacle. Her style is characterized by a visible thick brushstroke and ranges from labor-intensive, playful works to loose, sketchy paintings.
Comes directly from the artist.
Is framed in a cut-out pink metal frame, in good condition. Only at the back the metal of the passe-partout (not visible, tucked behind the tape) is slightly bent.
Well packed and shipped with tracking.
The painting is protected by a layer of retouch varnish. After drying time (about a year), please apply final varnish yourself to preserve gloss and color.
