Description from the seller
AMA • Pope (1985) – “Aurora Ikea Cult” – IKEA - 8/20
When a brand becomes a belief.
Following the success of the Aurora Borealis series, Aurora Original Counterfeit, Aurora Authentic Fake… AMA continues its ironic exploration of contemporary myths, balancing mass culture, global consumption, and the blind trust placed in commercial icons.
“Aurora Ikea Cult” reimagines the universe of a universal brand as a luminous, chrome, hypnotic object, almost ritualistic.
On the front, the message is clear:
" IKEA ", fixed as a symbol, recognizable above all.
On the sides, the formula asserts itself, no detours:
" IN / WE TRUST ".
A minimalist, immediate, universal creed. A contemporary belief etched in wood.
By day: a chrome, smooth, familiar icon.
By night: a multicolored aurora borealis ignites the space.
A stark contrast between mass consumption and modern devotion.
Edition limited to 20 copies for 2025, signed, numbered, and delivered with AMA authentication certificate.
Fast and secure shipping (bubble wrap, tissue paper, reinforced carton) with signature on delivery.
The numbering visible in the photos is for example purposes. The delivered work will bear the edition number indicated in this listing.

Edition of the artistic customization and finishing: 8/20 — 2025.
Who is Pope?
Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a singular artistic universe driven by a practice of visual arts since childhood, an exacting attention to detail, and meticulous visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings, and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes, and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and awed gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope mainly draws inspiration from the world around him but also from currents of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name a few.
Whether for a gift, a souvenir, or your personal contemporary art collection, you’ll surely find your favorite piece thanks to the diversity of our works. Indeed, Pope pursues his passion for urban art through street art and pop art (in limited or open editions), tackling a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug harm, luxury brands and haute couture, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, foods and fashion (sports, sneakers).
Brands guide our choices and often our lives without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope enjoys playfully diverting labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective makes every effort to ensure that all information necessary to assess the lot for sale is clearly detailed in the listing: dimensions, weight, description, and photos… After the sale, no unjustified complaint will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
