a very characterful and authentic antique wall rack, traditionally used as a plate rack and cup-and-saucer rack.
This piece of furniture is a beautiful example of artisanal craftsmanship and fits perfectly in a rural, classic, or brocante interior.
Material: Made from high-quality, dark solid oak wood (or walnut) with a deep, warm patina.
Design: The rack features beautifully detailed, serrated notches (half circles) in which decorative tiles or dishes can rest stably upright.
Special detail: The front is equipped with an elegantly turned wooden spindle (torsion spindle), which serves both a decorative function and acts as a fall guard to prevent the plates from tipping.
Hanging system: At the rear are the original, sturdy metal hanging eyes.
Condition: The item is in good, used antique condition with normal signs of age that contribute to its authentic character and history. The wood is structurally fully intact but, due to wood movement, there is a bend in the right support.
