Description from the seller
The Course of Light
from the series The Language of Water
The series The Language of Water explores water as the element that organizes and shapes the landscape. Rivers, lakes, estuaries and reflecting surfaces cease to be understood as geographical accidents and become visual pathways that articulate the composition. The course of the water guides the gaze through the territory, establishing a continuous dialogue between earth, light, and the horizon.
The compositions are built through broad planes of color and simplified forms that synthesize the landscape into a balance between abstraction and representation. The serpentine channels structure space and generate a visual rhythm that connects each plane, while mountains, banks, and reflections participate in the same formal continuity.
Color plays an essential role in constructing the atmosphere. The interaction between warm and cool shades, together with the presence of light reflected on the water, transforms the landscape into a visual experience where depth, movement, and serenity coexist in harmony. Each chromatic surface retains its autonomy without losing the unity of the whole.
In The Language of Water, the landscape becomes a pictorial interpretation where water acts as a guiding thread that unites the territory, the light, and time. Each work invites contemplation of the landscape from a contemporary perspective, where the synthesis of forms and the rhythm of color reveal water’s ability to shape space and build an experience of calm and contemplation.
Authenticity of the artwork:
Each piece is hand-signed on the back of the canvas, ensuring its authenticity and preserving the visual purity of the painted surface. The signature includes the title of the work, the year of creation, and Ella Suárez’s signature. The piece is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), validating its origin and authorship.
Clarifying note:
Reference images may show slight tonal variations relative to the original work due to lighting in the spaces, which can affect contrast or color temperature, as well as differences between viewing devices. The photographs have been taken with the greatest possible care.
