LEDMansion - Melancholia Neon Halo

“Melancholia Neon Halo” reinterprets a classically inspired female figure through a concise, contemporary, and symbolic language.

The sculpture, entirely finished in white, is enhanced with black graphics, butterflies, a tear on the face, and the phrase “NOW OR NEVER,” elements that introduce reflection on time, fragility, and the necessity to choose.

The LED neon-effect circular light, positioned above the figure’s head, evokes the shape of a modern halo. The warm white light gently envelops the sculpture, enhancing its features and creating an intimate, contemplative atmosphere.

Technique and Creation:

The decorative sculpture is artisan-finished through writings, symbols, and graphic details applied directly to the surface.

The composition features a black tear on the face, decorations inspired by the natural world, and a three-dimensional butterfly placed between the hair. These elements interrupt the purity of the white surface and give the figure a contemporary, personal identity.

The 12V neon-effect LED system is integrated into the top part of the sculpture. The luminous ring emits a warm, uniform light, creating an effect similar to a halo and projecting delicate reflections on the wall and on the figure.

The work arises from the encounter between classical sculpture, conceptual art, urban decoration, and luminous technology.

Inspiration and Curiosity:

Melancholy is a state suspended between memory, desire, and transformation. In this work it is not depicted solely as sadness, but as a moment of awareness and introspection.

The black tear symbolizes restrained fragility, while the butterflies represent change, freedom, and the possibility of rebirth. The phrase “NOW OR NEVER” conveys a direct message: time is limited and some decisions cannot be postponed.

The flower inserted among the hair softens the composition and creates a contrast between delicacy and unease. The luminous halo transforms the figure into a contemporary icon, suspended between sacrality, pop culture, and modern sensibility.
