Description from the seller
LASVEGUIX - Urban Magritte
Mixed media on torn and recomposed posters, hand-signed, Certificate provided
Unique work 40x30 (framed 41x31) contemporary black frame if reserve price is reached
Signed Lasveguix, this torn poster embodies the very essence of contemporary urban art: raw, fragmented, alive.
In the center, an iconic female figure inspired by the engaged visual universe of the OBEY movement, instantly recognizable, almost hypnotic. But here, nothing is smooth. The image is intentionally mishandled, torn, recomposed. Layers of torn posters disturb the reading, creating a striking play of textures and contrasts.
The intense red dialogues with cooler areas and black graffiti marks, bringing tension and energy. The whole floats on a deep black background that isolates and magnifies the composition.
It is a work that lives, that breathes, that tells a story.
It all begins on a wall.
A wall like thousands of others. Covered with images, messages, faces.
Then time does its work.
Posters overlap, tear, fade away.
What was visible becomes fragment. What was message becomes trace.
Where others pass by without seeing, Lasveguix stops.
He extracts this piece of urban chaos, freezes it, reveals it.
And at the heart of this raw material appears a face — almost intact, almost sacred — like an icon surviving amid the tumult.
This work is a capture.
A moment when the street becomes memory.
Where destruction becomes beauty.
Why acquire this work?
- Unique work: no reproduction, original piece certified
- Strong aesthetics: immediate visual impact, perfect for a contemporary interior
- Cultural reference: powerful dialogue with the OBEY graphic universe
- Genuine material work: posters truly torn and recomposed
- Art in the making: emerging artist with potential for appreciation
FRAME INCLUDED if the reserve price is reached
Lasveguix stands out as a rising signature in contemporary urban art. His field of expression: the street, or rather what it leaves behind.
Through the recovery of torn posters, he constructs a work at the boundary between destruction and creation.
Influenced by the codes of street art, collage and protest imagery, he reinterprets symbols to give them a new reading. Each piece is unique, marked by chance, time, and the artist's intervention.
