Pancho Porto - stormy days "No reserve"

Small-format bronze sculpture, limited edition by the Spanish sculptor Pancho Porto.

Pancho Porto (Santiago de Compostela, 1988) began his training in artistic cabinetmaking. In this school he had his first contact with disciplines such as carving, drawing, and modeling, and, most importantly, with workshop work.

Later he enrolled at the Mestre Mateo School of Arts and Trades in Santiago de Compostela, where he studied what would later become his main discipline: sculpture. It is in this school that he already worked with materials that would be fundamental in his work, such as steel or clay. In parallel, Porto continues his self-directed study and investigates other materials such as bronze or resins and their multiple uses and finishes.

After this initial training phase, he decided to establish his studio on the banks of the Sarela River, very close to where he was born. It is here that he begins his particular theoretical and practical investigation into the relationship between the materials used in each work and the message they convey. This leads him to seek new proposals for communicating and narrating his story. Since then, this has been the usual mode of his works, adding complexity and depth to the entire body of his work, with themes that touch both the social sphere and his personal experiences.
