Jürgen Angeler studied communication and media design, which laid the foundation for his artistic path. He began painting in 2014 and had his first exhibition participations. In 2015 followed the first solo exhibition. Since then he has continually developed his technique.
Several exhibitions and workshops followed to date. Jürgen Angeler places particular emphasis on Informal Painting, a form of modern art that emerged in the 1940s/1950s. The blend of spontaneity (impulse setting) and chance (drip painting, squeegee subtraction) plays a decisive role. At the end of the creative process is a finished painting that expresses the tension that was built up.
Jürgen Angeler looks back on successful exhibitions in Germany, Italy and Austria. His paintings are in collections in several European countries, the USA, Hong Kong as well as Japan.
