Biography:
Jürgen Angeler studied communication and media design, which laid the foundation for his artistic path. In 2014 he began painting and had his first exhibition participations. In 2015 followed the first solo exhibition. Since then he has continually developed his technique.
Several exhibitions and workshops followed to date. Special attention is given by Jürgen Angeler to informal painting, a form of modern art that emerged in the 1940s/1950s. The interplay of spontaneity (impulse) and chance (drip painting, squeegee technique) plays a decisive role. At the end of the creative process is a finished painting that expresses the tension built up during the process.
Jürgen Angeler looks back on successful exhibitions in Germany, Italy and Austria. His paintings are in collections in several European countries, the USA, Hong Kong and Japan.
Selected exhibitions:
- Participation with two paintings at "cosmo GRAFIE" in Rome, Italy. Curated by Eva Czerkl
- Participation in the Elledorado Art Charity at the Schwules Museum, Berlin (Patroness: Claudia Roth, Vice President of the Bundestag)
- Solo exhibition "Made in Germany" at der Kulturei Mainz (Citadel), Germany
