Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC has molded his artistic universe through an interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has become a passion that needed to come to life. XTC defines himself as a self-taught plastic artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the subversion of contemporary consumer goods. His creativity expresses itself through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption (such as McDonald’s, Malabar, Chupa), colliding them with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and Caviar) and street art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds. He conveys his art through sculpture, blending painting with various resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals. He is inspired, among others, by Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, and advertising and addiction in general. All potential defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
HAND-FINISHED “Sculpture made for commercial purposes, retouched by hand by the artist XTC using acrylic paints and vinyl.”
