This tabletop globe by Alexander Kalifano, mother of pearl, has continents inlaid with mother-of-pearl and rests on a brass foot.

The continents are made of various semi-precious stones and mother-of-pearl.

The globe is coated with a protective plastic coating and rests on a brass stand. This type of decorative globe was produced in large quantities in the second half of the 20th century.

The world globe is normally blue (lapis lazuli); this is a still rare model in mother-of-pearl.

Measurements are 43 cm high by 24 cm wide.
