This expressive composition was most recently part of the catalog and the exhibition "Tender Coast - Images with Sand and Tea" and belonged to the central exhibited pieces at the open house on 21 October 2018 of the Jablonsky Collection from Reinhild Jacobsen.

Hilla Jablonsky is regarded as an important and respected artist of the German Informel, which emancipated itself from geometric form to give space to emotion and spontaneity. Jablonsky's works have been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Germany and internationally, including Vienna, Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Seoul, Dublin and St. Petersburg. For her artistic work she received the Dr. Theobald-Simon Art Prize (1989) as well as the renowned August Macke Medal of the City of Bonn (1999) and other awards. Her works are today in public collections as well as in significant private collections at home and abroad.

They often arise from inner emotional states. As a painter, draftsman, and lyricist, Hilla Jablonsky developed over decades a distinctive, powerful visual language. Her large-format, color-intensive compositions merge gestural dynamism with structural density and are characterized by a high sensitivity to rhythm, space, and materiality. In addition to acrylic and pastel works, she experimented with collages, unusual materials, and performances.

After training with Alexej von Assaulenko, Cameron Hoover, Franz Radziwill, and Albert Paris Gütersloh, she worked as a freelance artist since 1968. She was co-founder of the Frauenmuseum Bonn, Honorary Chair of GEDOK Bonn, and served as a juror in numerous art committees.
