Biography
In Pizzolante's works, spirit and matter coexist and enrich each other. His painting is carved and his sculpture is painted. In him, the expressive forms wonderfully coexist and integrate into a universal language. The relationship with matter is always present because it must evoke the natural bond with the earth. His compositions are skillfully balanced, developing into theorems in which everything is demonstrated, and where even doubts and insecurities find justification in the space of a perfectly geometric, rhythmic, and vital abstraction.
Born in 1958 in Castrignano del Capo, in the province of Lecce. He studied scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown and, in the late eighties, moved to Laveno. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 2012 he participated in the 54th Venice Biennale.
